Facility Rentals


Please contact Amber Thomas (amber@laneschapel.com) to schedule your special event, wedding, birthday party, business meeting, etc.  We welcome everyone the use of the Lanes Chapel UMC Facility and will gladly give you a tour during normal business hours.  Please contact a staff member for a tour.  Once you have decided to hold your event at Lanes Chapel we will send you a Form to complete.  We must receive the completed form and an agreed upon deposit before scheduling your event in our calendar.  The deposit is refundable up to 30 days prior to your event.  The full fee is due the day before the event.

Thank you for choosing Lanes Chapel UMC for your special event.  Please contact the church office to see if your requested dates and times are available.  You will complete a form and submit a deposit upon scheduling.  Please read below for more details on special events.

Weddings

Best wishes on your upcoming marriage!  It is our desire to make your wedding everything you’ve ever wished for.   We also want to uphold the highest standards possible with weddings at Lanes Chapel UMC. The guidelines listed below are designed to accomplish this purpose.   

Upon scheduling your wedding, Amber Thomas (amber@laneschapel.com) will put you in touch with our Lanes Chapel Wedding Coordinator. The Coordinator will be able to answer any questions you may have that are not addressed here. 

You are not required to use our pastor as the Official of your wedding.   If you choose our pastor to officiate your wedding, he does require premarital counseling.  This will be scheduled a few weeks prior to your wedding.

Food & Decorations at Your Wedding/Event

You may bring Food & Decorations one day prior OR the day of to be stored in our Kitchen & Facility.  You can decorate the day before or the day of the wedding.  We ask that if it falls on a week day you schedule this during business hours.

Wedding/Reception Music Guidelines

Music should be tasteful and respect the House of God. 

Alcohol at Reception

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all Lanes Chapel UMC buildings.

Buildings

We have our main Worship Center, Family Life Center (can be used for wedding or reception) and Our Outdoor Prayer Garden with Three Crosses for wedding and general use.  We have many classrooms and additional space for other types of use.

Not a Lanes Chapel member?

That’s ok, it’s open to everyone.  We have member and non-member rates.

Bride's Room

You may store any necessary decorations, gowns, tuxes, etc. in the Bride's Room overnight the night before wedding. Everything must be removed by the end of the event.  The Bride's Room is located on the left hallway of our Sanctuary and includes a full size mirror with vanity, storage closet and the women’s restroom is right next door.

Receptions

Our Family Life Center is used for our Receptions.  It is accessible from the Sanctuary.

Sound, Lighting, Media & Video

We have Volunteer sound, lighting, media & video technicians available. They will be available for rehearsal.  There is a fee required for any of these technicians. 

Wedding Coordinator

Our wedding coordinator is a very generous Volunteer.  She helps out with as much or as little as you need.  She can make sure the wedding party is in the appropriate place at the appropriate time.  She can be at the facility when deliveries are being made so that you’re free to do other things.  She can help with decorating, serving the cake and various other things.  There is a fee required for our Coordinator.
